CREATING ETHICAL PRODUCTS

EDEN PROJECT CORNWALL

The world’s largest indoor rainforest

The Eden Project, an educational charity, connects people with the living world, exploring how we can work together towards a better future.

The visitor destination in Cornwall, UK, is nestled in a huge crater. Here, massive Biomes housing the largest rainforest in captivity, stunning plants, exhibitions and stories serve as a backdrop to its striking contemporary gardens.

IPR Licensing worked extensively for Eden to help create a licensing platform promoting its ethos and values and acting as the foundation and springboard for a wider programme eventually managed by its in-house team.

From coffee, jams, garden seeds, candles and diffusers, kitchen linens and textiles and stationery, all income generated from sales of these licensing relationships, concluded by IPR, supports the transformational projects and Eden learning programmes.

CASE STUDY

EDEN PROJECT COFFEE

Eden Project coffee made using the world’s first coffee-powered coffee bean roaster!

We’re excited about licensed Eden Project coffee, because it has a very special story behind it. Not only are the coffee beans themselves ethically sourced, but they’re roasted in a really innovative low-carbon way: the power for the bean roaster comes from used coffee grounds.

All in all, a wonderful example of a clever collaboration that culminates in a certified Rainforest Alliance coffee that is found on Waitrose shelves and other quality retailers. Promoting the Eden Project brand to a broad audience beyond Eden Project, and Cornwall and into mainstream UK retail.

Eden Project licensed products, taking the Eden ethos to audiences beyond the visitor attraction and supporting Eden transformational projects and bio-diversity learning programmes.
