Horrockses & Ulster Weavers

Fun 50s style from the archive.

Ulster Weavers, a home textiles company based in Holywood, Northern Ireland, can trace its history back to the nineteenth century. Throughout the late 19th and early 20th century, Ulster Weavers continued to spin, weave, bleach and finish the high quality linen for which Ireland and Ulster had become famous the world over.

It was during the 1960’s the Ulster Weaving company brought these years of textile expertise to the kitchen textile sector – specializing at first in Irish Linen Tea Towels and over the years expanding the range to include all types of kitchen co-ordinates, bags and giftware.

CASE STUDY

HORROCKSES

They were the obvious choice when IPR was looking to bring Horrockses Fashions’ incredible back catalogue of heritage designs through to licensed products for the home.

The license negotiated and managed by IPR was commercially strong for Ulster Weavers and especially so in heritage retail outlets up and down the country.
