Passion for the natural world

CASE STUDY

Natural History Museum x Dunelm

A future where both people and the planet thrive

The Natural History Museum collaboration with the British homewares retailer Dunelm, was born from a shared passion for the natural world as well as a desire to create products that have a story to tell.

The Collection features bedding and curtains, as well as soft furnishings and upholstered furniture, lighting, prints, home fragrances and more; all of which has been designed and developed to utilise resources in the best possible way, with sustainability at the core.

From creative inspiration through to production each product has been developed, by Dunelm, as a means of helping customers make more informed and sustainable choices around what they purchase.

"We are delighted to be announcing this collaboration with the Natural History Museum, which offers the opportunity to communicate our long-term aligned interest in achieving our climate targets as well as educating ourselves, our communities, and our customers in the process. The collection is an inspiring reflection of the Museum’s world-leading collection and ethos, but also helps drive forward our own ambitious sustainability targets. This is about more than simply selling great quality products – it’s about helping customers to make more informed and sustainable choices."
Nick Wilkinson, CEO at Dunelm

"It has been such a delight to work with the wonderful team at Dunelm. From day one, the entire team has been truly committed to developing the most thoughtful collection that not only uses sustainable practices but also celebrates the wonders of the natural world through excellent design."
