UK-born Rachel Ashwell launched Shabby Chic™ in a small store on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica California in 1989. It was her love of vintage style, flea market finds and the edgy, nostalgic prettiness of her designs that has built a huge following and her becoming synonymous with an interior aesthetic celebrating the ‘beauty of imperfection’. Rachel has built an enviable licensing programme in the USA featuring best-in-class partnerships including direct with retailers such as Target® and Pottery Barn®.
IPR is delighted to have the chance to represent such a unique property as Shabby Chic™ by Rachel Ashwell and introduce her distinct designs and vision to UK retailers through licensing. Categories include all homewares, furniture, bed textiles, kitchen and dining, home accents and accessories, through to fashion apparel for women and children.
